HOW TO APPLY FOR AND THE BENEFITS OF RETIREMENT KITAS

The Retirement KITAS (Kartu Izin Tinggal Terbatas) is a type of residence permit in Indonesia that is issued to foreign nationals who are over the age of 55 and wish to retire in the country.

This permit allows retirees to stay in Indonesia for a maximum of five years and can be renewed for an additional five years.

OFFSHORE

ID Card of Indonesian spouse
Family card of Indonesian spouse
Birth Certificate of Indonesian spouse.
Marriage certificate of both countries.
Domicile Letter of Indonesian spouse (if ID card outside Bali area).
Scan color passport of applicant (page valid min. 18 months).
Scan color cover passport.
Bank statement min. USD 1500 or equal IDR 20.000.000
Passport photo any background.
Original passport of applicant (after arriving in Indonesia).

ONSHORE

ID Card of Indonesian spouse
Family card of Indonesian spouse
Marriage certificate of both countries.
Domicile Letter of Indonesian spouse (if ID card outside Bali area).
Domicile letter of applicant (address in Bali)
Original passport of applicant (page valid min. 18 months).
Scan color cover passport.
Bank statement min. USD 1500 or equal IDR 20.000.000
Stay permit min 30 days left before applying.
Evidence of having received the full dose of Covid-19 vaccine.

PROCESSING TIME

Up to 60 business days for processing in Indonesia.
Application has to start at least 30 days before the previous visa/kitas expires

RPTKA (Approval of Plan for using foreign employee)
IMTA (Working Permit)
E-Visa
Convert E-Visa to KITAS at Local immigration

RENEWAL

The extension need to be done first for 1 year, after this the kitas can be extended for a 5 year period.
Renewal needs to be processed a minimum of 6 month before your Kitas Expired.

AFTER YOU RECEIVE THE E-VISA (OFFSHORE APPLICATION)

Step 1: Please print out the sponsorship and E-Visa for entering Indonesia.
Step 2: Upon arrival in Indonesia, you will need to present us with your passport within 30 days. We will then take it to the local immigration office for final approval. You will also be required to appear at Immigration for the Biometrics process.
Step 3. You will receive the final document 2-4 weeks after your biometrics appointment.

Company deed of establishment and its amendments (if any).
Approval from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (MoLHR) of company sponsor / SK Kehakiman Pendirian Perusahaan dan Perubahannya (if any)
Tax Registration Number (NPWP) of company sponsor
NIB (Business Registration Number) – OSS (Online Submission System)
Ijin Lokasi (Location Permit) – OSS (Online Submission System)
Ijin Usaha (Business License) – OSS (Online Submission System)
BPJS Kesehatan – BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (OSS)
ID Card (KTP) and Family Register (KK) of the Indonesian Director of company sponsor as Guarantor, or passport of foreign Director.
Blank papers with the company’s letterhead and Company Stamp.

EPO CANCELATION

If you are not continuing or extending your Kitas you need to process an EPO (Exit Permit Only).
